• Guaranteed in-hand dates require air ship authorization.
• We are not responsible for shipping delays enroute.

• UPS is the preferred carrier.
• If UPS cannot be used because of destination or weight, we will use FedEx, Priority Mail, Motor Freight, or other carrier, at our discretion. Shipments are F.O.B. Sun Prairie, Wisconsin.
• Most carriers do not guarantee transit time in December.
• Expedited shipping is recommended for December shipping.
• We do not ship to locations other than the fifty states and Canada.

Temerature Sensitive Products:
Shipments including gifts with chocolates, fresh meats or natural cheeses (page 29), between the months of May and October, or to warm weather areas may require refrigerated trucking or coolers with ice packs and expedited delivery. When using coolers and blue ice, 2nd day delivery is recommended. Please inform Customer Service at time of placing the order if special shipping instructions are required.

Claims:
The legal responsibility passes to the customer when the merchandise is picked-up by the carrier.

• It is the responsibility of the consignee to claim with the carrier if an order is not received, if cartons are missing, or merchandise arrives damaged. (If damaged, do not discard packaging. Carrier may need to inspect.)
• Consignee must sign Bill of Lading: "Subject to inspection".
• If damage or defect has occurred in our factory, you must notify us within 72 hours after receipt of goods.

Rush Charges:

• Normal production time for catalog quantity orders with logos is 10 working days after complete order is received.
• A complete order consists of Purchase order, art work, approved proof, cards, shipping address disk/list and any other custom requirements.
• A rush charge may be applied to orders with less lead time.
• Air freight must be authorized on all rush orders.
• Call customer service for charges and best ship dates.

Important Deadline Information for Last Minute Orders:

• To assure delivery before December 24 , please place your order by December 5. After December 5, we will advise best possible ship date.
• In-hand dates and item availability cannot be guaranteed after December 5.
• Items of equal or greater value will be substituted to ensure on-time delivery of your order.
• Please, no changes, additions or deletions to orders in house after December 5.
• Drop ship addresses must be complete and in-hand by December 5. Increased quantity on orders: All increases must be authorized in writing or with a corrected PO.

Individual Shipments:
The cost for shipping directly (drop shipping) to a list of recipients will be the actual freight cost plus a per package drop ship charge which is listed below. The mailing list needs to be provided in one of the following manners:

Additional Individual Shipment Information:

• Line length for addresses is limited to 23 characters.
• Please indicate preferred return address.
• Do NOT include PO boxes or Canadian addresses on lists.
• Do NOT send UPS shipment labels.
• Provide list 10 days in advance of order shipment.
• Canadian shipments are sent USPS or UPS. Drop ship charge is $5.00 (G) plus $10.00 (G) per order Canadian paperwork charge.
• Incorrect address costs are the responsibility of the distributor.

Art and Order Guidelines:
To Process Your Order in a Timely Manner, Please Follow These Instructions Carefully.

• Digital proofs and paper proofs are available at no charge. Please provide current e-mail address and fax number. (Proof must be approved & returned prior to production. No exceptions.)
• Include a .pdf of artwork to size, with a minimum type size of 8 points. Thin lines and reverses will not reproduce well.
• We use a Windows PC based system and prefers 300 DPI images in Corel Draw™, Adobe Illustrator® 10 or earlier, Adobe Photoshop®, or EPS.
• Please include a copy of your artwork with your purchase order for our reference.
• The reproduction of any logos/images failing to meet these requirements will not be accepted and will result in the delay of your order.
• If artwork must be retouched, there will be a minimum $35 charge. Artwork will be kept on file for one year. It will not be returned. Mille Lacs reserves the right to lay out copy and artwork to best fit the available logo area.
• Complete orders (with artwork and special instructions) must be received two weeks prior to ship date.
• Artwork is subject to Mille Lacs approval
• Preproduction samples are suggested for all logoed items.
• Production time is counted after receipt of proof approval.
• Changes or cancellations must be in writing and will be billed for any and all costs incurred.
• Litigation arising from alleged infringement of patents, trademarks, and copyrights is the sole responsibility of the distributor.

Greeting Cards:
We will be happy to affix your business or greeting card to the outside of each gift mailer, at no charge, if all cards are the same.

• If cards need to be matched to recipients, we will charge $1.00 (G) per card.
• Mille Lacs can supply 4" x 6" stock greeting note cards at a cost of $.75 (G) each. We will add your message in straight line copy. 12 piece minimum applies.
• Allow 1 week of production time.

Foil Stamped Ribbon:
(Available on select items only) White ribbon with gold foil is used for all gifts with Foil Stamped Ribbon option except gift 5851 which has silver foil on white ribbon. A gold and silver pinwheel bow is included. All stock designs are available in gold or silver foil on white ribbon with Zapf Chancery font. Imprint area: 4" x 13/8". Logo imprint repeats approximately every 1 inch.

Laser Engraving, Including Vinyl Engraved Labels:

• Engraved area and logo placement are as illustrated in this catalog. No exceptions.
• Minimum size is 8 points.
• Mille Lacs reserves the right to layout copy and artwork to best fit available logo area.
• Purchase orders must be mailed, faxed or e-mailed. No verbal orders accepted.
• Laser engraving does not produce a color on tin lids. The color of the logo depends upon the metal or coating color beneath the layer of paint on the lid.

Wood Grains:
Due to the unique appearance of wood grains, there will be variations in color and/or finish between pieces. Mille Lacs will not accept returns for this reason.
