Q: How does the program work?
A: When you obtain a link from Commission Junction it has tracking information embedded
within the URL. When a customer browsing your site clicks a link they are sent to Commision Junction
where the click is logged and a cookie is sent to the customer. The customer is then redirected
to the correct page on the WisconsinCheeseman.com web site. When a customer makes a purchase on
the WisconsinCheeseman.com web site, a tracking pixel on the order confirmation page sends the
transaction details (order number, order date/time, merchandise total) to Commission Junction
and CJ ties that sale to your account. If the purchase is made within 90 days of clicking your link,
you will earn a commission of 10% of the order total (excludes sales tax).
Q: How do I keep track of my sales and earnings?
A: WisconsinCheeseman.com has partnered with the Commission Junction
Affiliate Network to provide you with the best reporting tools available. Upon approval
to the program, you will be issued a username and password and gain access to a
reporting system that will provide you detailed statistics for your site(s). Commission
Junction acts as the "middle man" between Advertiser (WisconsinCheeseman.com) and
Publisher (you). They will track the visitors you send to our site, the sales and
keep track of commissions you earn on a daily basis. Commission Junction will not
take any personal information or credit card data from the visitors. Commission
Junction generates a commission statement online that you may log in and view 24/7.
Q: How will I be paid?
A: WisconsinCheeseman.com pays its affiliates on a monthly basis. For
sales in one month, a check will be issued to you within approximately 60 days after
the last day of the month. Checks will be issued for a minimum of $25.00. For commission
totals below $25.00, we will carry over your commission total until you reach $25.00
at the next relevant monthly payout date. If you qualify for a program incentive
term, base commissions will be paid as normal. Commissions earned at points higher
than base will undergo a routine accounting process and not be paid for an additional
30-60 days.
Q: What about product returns?
A: If a user returns a product for a refund, your commissions will
stay put. That's right, regardless of returns, we will keep commissions in your
pocket for referring the customer in the first place. This is called our No Chargeback
Policy. Likewise, if a product is returned in exchange for new merchandise, or if
goods are lost or damaged and we ship replacement goods to the customer, your commissions
will not be affected.
Q: Can I earn commissions on my own purchases?
A: Yes. You may earn commissions on your own purchases, however,
taking advantage of our No Chargeback Policy will not be tolerated and we will expire
terms with a publisher who is found guilty of this exercise.
Q: What is the keyword bidding policy in place?
A: The following keywords are protected and cannot be used to advertise
in Cost per Click models: WisconsinCheeseman.com WisconsinCheesemen.com, wisconsincheeseman,
wisconsincheesemen
Capitalization of any letters included, i.e. WisconsinCheeseMan.com, WisconsinCheeseman,
etc... WisconsinCheeseman.com reserves the right to withhold commissions and/or
expire affiliates who continue to campaign using protected words.
Please Note!
Publishers are able to use the above trademarks in their Ad Copy Title and/or Description.
Example: Bid on term: "Aged Cheddar"
Ad Copy Title: Wisconsin Cheeseman Aged Cheddar
Ad Copy Description: Shop for rich, tangy, Aged Cheddar Cheese...
www.YourDomain.com
We do not allow the use of our domain, www.WisconsinCheeseman.com, as the AdDomain for paid search, period. The affiliate must have their own domain to advertise on the behalf of WisconsinCheeseman.com. Affiliates may not act as if they are the "real" WisconsinCheeseman.com.
In all advertising methods, we ask that you please capitalize the āWā in Wisconsin and the āCā in Cheeseman: WisconsinCheeseman.com, Wisconsin Cheeseman
Q: What kind of merchandising tools does WisconsinCheeseman.com provide me?
A: Merchandising tools are made available to you through the CJ.com
user interface. You must log in to gain access to the available options:
Banners, Text Links, Advanced Links, Content Links, Smart Links, Keyword Links, and Product Catalog.
Q: Do I have to pay to access the Product Feed?
A: To pull products from the CJ.com interface, yes, $200.00 needs to
be paid to CommissionJunction for full access to our Product Feed. Once this fee
is paid however, you have access not only to WisconsinCheeseman.com, but to all
other feeds on the network as well.
Coming Soon... We understand that $200.00 is quite an investment for affiliates, especially for affiliates who are just getting started. As such, we will be adding a product feed to this site in the near future.
Q: What if there isn't a link to the page or product I want within CJ.com?
A: If you'd like to link to a particular product or landing page
but cannot find the link within CJ, you may specify your own Landing page.
Q: When will orders post to my Commission Junction reports?
A: Reporting in Commission Junction is real time but there can be a
2-3 hour delay between time of purchase and when you're able to see a sale posted
on CJ.com. Simply log into the user interface, Run Reports, specify a date range
and see the sales and commissions you've earned. If the delay lasts longer, please
contact CJ.com through the user interface. (See below.) Also recall that you can
display reports by using the drop down bar and selecting Sort by: "Posting Date"
or "Event Date." What's the difference?
Q: How can I contact a "live" person at Commission Junction?
A: For any questions or concerns you may have do not hesitate to contact Commission Junction's
Client Services. Ask for a "walk through" of their user interface. This will help you become familiar with the reporting options and links available to you
as a Publisher.
